Albany officials have voted to appoint a municipal court judge. The unanimous vote came at the City Council's work session on Thursday, Sept. 20. The Municipal Court is the judicial branch of Albany city government. It has jurisdiction over all city and state law offenses committed within city limits other than felonies. It does not handle driving under the influence charges.
