ALBANY, Ore. — A man was shot Monday morning in Albany after a car chase with Oregon State Police troopers and Linn County Sheriff's Office deputies, OSP reported. Albany police said the man's injuries were not life-threatening, and he was arrested on multiple charges. Albany police identified the man as Steven Anthony Schmidt-Shelton, 40, and said he's charged with Attempted Murder, Attempted Assault, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Reckless Endangering, Reckless Driving and Failure to Perform Duties of a Driver.
